Went to Empire City Casino with mom. Big mistake. I can't blame anyone, but myself. *sigh*
We got there at 1pm and the mission was simple. $100 and we're out. I was there more as furniture than a gambler. So, when I went through a few twenties, I could feel my mood darken as I kept stealing a glance at my mother's ever-increasing amount of winnings. Clearly, this kick in the head was to notify me that the next few hours would be brutal.
Brutal. Brutal is when you find yourself approaching an overpriced ATM to take out money you don't have so that you can kill time by, literally, feeding it to a machine like a pet! Bah-roooo-ta-haallll! No seriously, it sucked.
Without rehashing all the painful parts, I will say I could kick myself for not agreeing to leave her there so I could drive home in her car. Her suggestion, I swear! However, the moment she loudly whispered, "my machine is broken, I know when it's going t pay out," I knew someone would beat her over the head and take her machine.
At some point, I put on my ipod and walked around the casino to watch people. It was kinda cool to have my own soundtrack going. That was around the time a found a slot machine that actually paid out. Still, when you are bored to tears from monotonously pressing a button to see if you won something? I had a migraine and damaged eardrums by 6pm, and my mother was still not showing signs of fatigue! Me? I was all but a pleading pool of despair.
It was after 9:30pm, and I was trying to drink the bleach from the toilet bowls in an attempt ti commit suicide when Mom finally called to say she was ready. My heart skipped a little lighter as I headed in her direction, but then stopped as I saw she was now at an entirely different machine. O.o o.O o.O O.o i couldn't believe my eyes!
So, out of despair, I walked up to her and whispered in her ear "I got my period and I'm not wearing panties today". We left at 9:52 pm.

My condolences on the loss of time and $ at the casino, but thank you for the great get out of anywhere free card you have now supplied. :D
